Carefree Crossing Halloween Decorations Contest Rules

1. Eligibility:

The contest is open to all residents of Carefree Crossing.
Participants may enter as individuals, families, or groups.
Non-residents may not participate.

2. Theme:

All decorations must adhere to a Halloween theme.
Creativity is encouraged, and participants are free to interpret the theme in their unique way.

3. Registration:

Participants must register their entry by October 30th, using the provided registration form.
Late registrations may not be accepted.

4. Decoration Period:

Participants may begin decorating their homes from October 1st.
All decorations must be completed and in place by October 31st.
Decorations should be visible from the street for judging purposes.

5. Judging:

A panel of judges or community members will assess the decorations based on creativity, originality, and overall visual impact.
Judging will take place on October 31st between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
Judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

6. Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to the top [Number of Prize Categories] decorations in the following categories:
Best Overall Halloween Display
Scariest Decoration
Most Creative Decoration
Funniest Decoration (optional)
Prizes may include certificates, trophies, or other prizes donated by sponsors or the community.

7. Safety Considerations:

Participants are responsible for ensuring their decorations do not pose any safety hazards to visitors or passersby.
Use of open flames (candles, torches, etc.) should be avoided, and if used, they must be placed in secure containers and monitored at all times.
Electrical decorations should be in good working order and safely installed.

8. Respect for Neighbors:

Participants should be mindful of their neighbors and avoid excessive noise, litter, or disruptions during the decoration process or contest.
Music or sound effects should be kept at a reasonable volume.

9. Clean-up:

Participants must remove all decorations according to HOA Policy.
Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future contests.

10. Photography and Publicity: - By participating in the contest, participants agree to allow photographs or videos of their decorations to be used for promotional or publicity purposes related to the Carefree Crossing neighborhood.

11. Code of Conduct: - Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and friendly manner throughout the contest.

12. Disqualification: - The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or exhibits unsportsmanlike behavior.

13. Amendments: - The contest organizers may make changes to these rules if necessary, and all participants will be informed promptly of any amendments.
